I discovered Piwigo 3 years ago and, since the beginning, it was a pleasant surprise. I am using it for my private photos database on a Synology NAS, around 340 GB and 70.000 pics. Piwigo it works like a charm and it is very customizable. Due to NAS hardware limitations, I prefer to generate the thumbnails outside of Piwigo. Piwigo doesn't have a rival! Thank you, Piwigo Team!

As a member of basketball club in Rennes, I set up Piwigo to manage our team's many photos. Today, there are some 19,000 photos in public mode, and even more in private mode! and there's more to come. Managing albums and, above all, tags is a real pleasure, especially when it comes to easily finding the right photo to illustrate our website or create a specific poster or flyer. Private access also gives privileged access to our graphic designer, who can retrieve the original photos and work on them. Many thanks to the Piwigo team, and to all the authors of the plugins from which we can pick and choose according to our needs!

I'm a professional photographer. My old website was an online gallery, but it was 10 years old and no longer up to today's standards, notably compatibility with tablets and smartphones. So I started looking for a robust solution: 3,000 albums and 150,000 high-resolution photos. My website is an important platform, as it allows me to make a backup of my work, to have a gallery for each customer, and each customer has a 10-year history and must be able to identify himself and download his old reports. After a long search, I came across Piwigo, which met all my expectations. So I created a test gallery and realized that there was even a module that allowed me to take over my old Gallery2 website. It's been almost a year since the migration. The site is fast and handles the mass of information well. The visual customization allowed me to get exactly what I wanted. Importantly, with open-source software, the site and community forum are very active and responsive to questions and problem-solving. In short, I'm delighted to have chosen Piwigo for the centerpiece of my professional activity.

Just want to add my "props" to the folks at Piwigo for the great product they have put out for their clients. I create a Piwigo photo album for each of the websites I create and walk each client through the "how to's" of Piwigo, which is very user friendly. I have tried other photo albums in the past and have always come back to Piwigo not just because it's free, but because it is honestly... the best!
