With Ethereum 2.0 or ETH2, Ethereum has changed how it can be mined. Ethereum transitioned its consensus mechanism from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake. With this change, GPU mining is no longer possible.
As a result, we have disabled our mining feature while we evaluate alternatives.
Any balance you have already earned is available in your Norton Crypto Wallet. You can withdraw the balance to your Coinbase account at any time.

Yes, the Norton Crypto program (NCrypt.exe) will be automatically removed from your Norton product through LiveUpdate. Ensure that the Automatic LiveUpdate option in your Norton product remains turned on.
We do not have any definitive plans to restart mining in the near future.
We are still evaluating alternatives to ETH. You will hear from us when we have an alternative cryptocurrency.
We have no plans to terminate the Norton Wallet. We leave it to you whether you want to maintain balance or not.
Transfers of cryptocurrencies may result in transaction fees (also known as "gas" fees) paid to the users of the cryptocurrency blockchain network who process the transaction. In addition, if you choose to exchange crypto for another currency, you may be required to pay fees to an exchange facilitating the transaction. Transaction fees fluctuate due to cryptocurrency market conditions and other factors. These fees are not set or collected by Norton.
Please note that Norton makes no statements or guarantees on the financial benefits that you can derive from using the product given the many variables involved including factors like the volatility in value of the currency, the time and effort required to mine a particular block, the equipment utilized and its cost, the amount and cost of additional energy consumption, and associated fees, among others.
You can see your wallet balance in the My Norton portal. There is a Withdraw option to transfer your accumulated earnings to Coinbase when you are ready to do so.
